Why we are different from other schools:

The primary emphasis at CdeC Academy is educational quality and small classes of 10-14 students. Our priority is contemporary, cutting edge training that meets the needs of the fashion community, as well as more all encompassing social etiquette, and self confidence elements which are essential to success in today's International World. Our program prepares indivuals for the future, as well as giving them the leading edge for today. It is not only meant for aspiring models and actors, but can and should be taken by anyone wanting to excel and succeed.

CdeC Academy is independently owned and operated by Santa Barbara resident, Catherine de Castelbajac. Catherine holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree from Columbia University in New York City, and an MBA from Simmons Graduate School of Management. She was an International model with Ford Models, and worked in Paris and New York. She lived in Paris for 20 years while married to the fashion designer Jean Charles de Castelbajac. She is also a certified Communications and Image Consultant who has helped students, MBA candidates, executives and companies with branding, protocol and presentation.

Mission Statement: Our goal is to help each student achieve his or her highest potential academically, professionally, and personally. We believe that by developing essential communication and personal development skills, each person can become the success they dream to be.
